Kehlani, an R&B artist has been through quite a lot coming from americas got talent, she has since released first commercial mixtape, 'Cloud 19'. In 2015 she also released her second commercial mixtape, 'You Should Be Here'. She finally released her first major-label debut album, 'SweetSexySavage' in 2017.
Kehlani has always been raw with her fans and audience as she writes from experience"I used to only be able to write based on whether I was going through something", which shows how talented she is as a singer/songwriter who expresses herself through actual life events.
It hasn't always been easy for her since her dad passed away and at one point tried to commit suicide. kehlani has used her expense, pain and knowledge to get through those tough times from her music and produce a debut album full of positivity.
"For this music video I just wanted to create something personal and meaningful for my fans. I know how hard it can be to be to be in love and be treated unfairly, and I just wanted to show that its normal to have those ups and down however to also know when its better to leave so all thats hurting you stops"

What kind of message do you want your fans to know?
"I want my fans to take away that I wanted to create something fun yet meaningful. I'm very happy with this new album that I created"
How raw were you with this album?
"The album came out after a rough time in my life and I didn't want to necessarily think negatively with bitter memories I had. I think as an artists when you write your own music, you realise that every time you perform a song, or sing a song again, you're into that same vibe and feelings over and over, again".
How do you feel about each song you've created?
"I feel like each song tells a story or is a piece of me. There was a lot I wanted to say so I wanted the album to feature many songs. I think this album has taught me lot and its just a way for me to forward only in positivity"
